Progress Report on Book Two

Note on AI Use:

Well, guys, gals, and nonbinary people, welcome to our October quarterly report. This article is not written by ChatGPT but is written by me, Admiral Fisher. Last time I ended up having to rewrite most of the article, and the quality was terrible. I guess writing with AI, I got what I paid for haha. Furthermore, it got a lot of details wrong and wasn't worth the effort to correct. I also wish to announce that, going forward, I will not be using AI anymore. If I don't have the time to write a quarterly report or am having health issues, I will pay someone on fivver to do it.

My opinion on AI writing is that it will never be as good as a human. AI won't replace humans. It is a tool like a hammer or a screwdriver — a hammer does not replace human labor, but augments it. AI makes writing better and is not meant to generate new content.

Anyway, now onto the Quarterly Report.

Book II Editing Progress:

The first four chapters of Book II of From Criminal to Hero are completely finished. As of 10/3/2025, the full versions have been uploaded to Royal Road for your enjoyment. With my current writing level, I cannot polish them any further. The first 21 chapters have gotten cursory edits and are uploaded as well. The rest of the chapters will be edited in due course.

In other good news, as of 10/3/2025, Chapter 5 of Book 2 is now under editing and is almost fully complete as well. I plan on finishing it tomorrow morning on 10/4/2025. I plan on completely editing all 41 chapters of From Criminal to Hero to reflect my current writing level. Furthermore, I want to preserve as much of the original storyline as possible so the edits I will be implementing will be structural, grammatical, and more sensory detials. I will implement all reasonable feedback if you leave comments on the chapters.

Book II Cover Progress:

Unfortunately, my artist is backed up and has spent most of the summer sick. Therefore, the new cover is delayed. However, he does have a list, and it is on his queue of tasks to complete. It will be done. However, I don't know when it will be completed or if it will be completed this year. I apologize for jumping the gun with announcing the new cover.

Book II and Book III Publishing Announcements:

Again, this project is also canceled. I have decided to make a full webnovel for Royal Road. Brinus Helios and the War Criminal will be combined with the novel From Criminal to Hero. This web novel is planned to be 200 chapters. I have currently published 59 chapters with 69 chapters. Chapters will be released weekly on Thursdays at 6:00 am.

In other good news, I also plan on publishing the second book on a new app called Quibble as a stand-alone novel and sequel to the prequel, The Story of a Pirate. The Prequal is the story of how Brinus ended up in the Navy; the Sequal is how he became an officer; book III is about how he became a warrior.
