Hey everyone,
I wanted to take some time to share a few important updates with you all about the series. This newsletter is going to focus on two big things that I know many of you have been waiting to hear about: the release date for Book III, what’s happening with Book II in terms of editing, and the new cover that’s in the works for Book II as well. I’ll go into detail on each, because I want to be upfront and clear about where everything stands and what you can expect over the next few months.
Editing Book II
Now, about Book II. I’ve heard your feedback loud and clear: there’s room for refinement, and I’ve wanted to get back to it for a while. That said, it doesn’t make sense to dive back into editing Book II before Book III is solidly on its feet. I want to keep momentum on the newest release before circling back.
Here’s the plan: once Book III is fully published and out in the world, I’ll begin editing Book II. This isn’t going to be a rewrite—it’s going to be a refinement. Think of it as tightening bolts, smoothing out the pacing, and polishing up the details so the book reads even stronger than before. The story is already there, but editing will elevate it and make the reading experience smoother.
Some of the things I’m planning to focus on include tightening dialogue, streamlining certain scenes, and making sure continuity between Book II and Book III is absolutely seamless. The goal is to ensure that when someone picks up the series and reads from Book I to Book III, there’s a consistent flow in quality, tone, and execution. For those of you who already love Book II, don’t worry—it’s not being torn apart or rewritten. The essence is staying the same; it’s just going to be refined into something sharper.
This work will happen after Book III is fully released, so you can expect updates on the editing process in the months following May. I’ll be transparent along the way, keeping you posted on progress and timelines.
New Cover for Book II
Finally, let’s talk about something a bit more exciting: the new cover for Book II. Covers matter—a lot. They’re the first thing a reader sees, the hook that gets someone to pick up the book (whether physically or digitally), and they set the tone for the journey ahead. While the current cover has served its purpose, I think it’s time for an upgrade. The new cover will better reflect the heart of the story and align more closely with the overall aesthetic of the series.
The design process is already underway, and I’m really excited about where it’s heading. I can’t reveal much just yet, but what I can say is this: it will be more striking, more cohesive with the series’ themes, and something that will stand out on a shelf or online. Once it’s finalized, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks, so you’ll be the first to see it before it officially replaces the old cover.
The updated cover will roll out after Book III’s release and alongside the editing updates for Book II. So, in a sense, Book II will be getting a refresh on two fronts: inside (through editing) and outside (with a brand-new cover). I’m excited for both, because it means the book will better represent the standard I want for the series moving forward.
Book III Release Date
Now, about Book III. I have decided to combine it with Book II to create one big webnovel on Royal Road. I will also be creating new content starting at 6:00 a.m. on September 11th, 2025. New releases will happen on Thursdays at 6 am until an additional 41 chapters are released. They will cover his graduate school years. They will be about his growth as a scientist and his struggles with PTSD. Ultimately, it will follow three major overarching arcs, but in a mini arc style format, so I won't spoil it.
Closing Thoughts
So that’s where things stand: Book II will be edited after that, Book II will also be getting a new cover, and Book III will be combined with Book II to form one webnovel on royal road. I know delays can be frustrating, but I hope you see that the intention here is to deliver the best possible version of the series, both in terms of story and presentation. This isn’t about dragging things out—it’s about making sure every piece of the puzzle fits together cleanly and confidently.
More soon,
Admiral Fisher
